The HKIER organizes from time to time seminars to address critical issues of high topicality in educational development and school education reform of Hong Kong and other Chinese societies. These academic gatherings have been attended by stakeholders, practitioners, and researchers. The occasional papers are the fruit of labour of some of the speakers at the seminars or specifically written as contributions. There are two series of occasional papers: Education Policy Studies Series and School Education Reform Series. Over 130 titles have been published thus far.
