Career development and guidance service has been an important focus in primary and secondary schools, universities, and social service agencies. This research programme aims to accomplish three major objectives: (a) to explore models of career guidance services in primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong; (b) to examine factors influencing career development of young people and how service could meet their needs; and (c) to integrate international perspectives of career guidance into a Chinese cultural context, in theory and practice.
