Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of HKIER's Establishment

The Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research (HKIER) hosted a dinner banquet to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its establishment on December 5, 2023. Over a hundred guests including staff from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), supporters and friends from the education sector joined the event and celebrated together. 

Prof. Isabella Poon, Pro-Vice Chancellor of CUHK graced the event as the Guest of Honor and delivered a speech to congratulate the 30th anniversary of HKIER. Prof. Xitao Fan, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Prof. Stephen Wong, Director of HKIER also delivered remarks at the banquet. They expressed gratitude for the enduring support from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation and numerous stakeholders over the years, and envisioned the Institute remaining committed to its mission, advancing educational research and development, serving the education community, and enriching society.

The evening's programme featured exciting lucky draws and captivating performances, such as a string quartet and Chinese music ensemble by students and graduates from CUHK's Department of Music, and a mesmerizing Sichuan face-changing act by the renowned face-changing master Ms. Hathor Wai.

We thank all participants for making this event a resounding success and look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries in the years to come.
